The Amcor AF8000E 8000-BTU is a Portable and one of the best Air Conditioner only stands 2 ft. so this product fits in any space you have in your home and it is easier to store self-evaporative technology. The PAC8000S provides an auto-drain exhaust technology that prevents the necessity to empty the water from it. This 8000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner also gives the direct drain technology that enables you to use it for a year without needing to empty the water accumulated by the unit because of its Energy Saving Design.

Positive Reviews

The Amcor AF8000E 8000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner is a mixture of innovative cooling technology and classic craftsmanship. Simply set the timer and temperature to experience refreshing coolness quickly. On the control panel you’ll find a 12-hour timer, fan speed option, temperature control, and power button. The Amcor portable air conditioner can efficiently cool small to mid-sized room measuring 300 square foot.

Unlike other A/C units, Amcor produces some of the best air conditioners, which automatically eliminates condensed water by misting them out via the exhaust hose (to the outside). This removes the inconvenience of having to drain buckets of water constantly. This A/C unit also doubles up as dehumidifier, removing excess moisture from the surrounding air to prevent mold and mildew growth.  In addition, you’ll find three special filters for maintaining air quality in your room: a carbon filter that efficiently removes odor from the odor; a filtrate that traps dust, bacteria, and pollen; and a washable air filter that removes large particles and prevents build up of bacteria.

Customer reviews show that the Amcor portable air conditioner still requires a window for the water and hot air vent hoses. Most customers understand that all portable A/Cs work this way, but some expressed it would be nice to have an A/C that you can use in a windowless room. Still, customers are glad that installation is oh-so easy. They need to put four pieces together only.

Negative reviews

There are some negative feedbacks received by this product. One customer said that this portable conditioner does not have enough BTU to cool his room. He preferred the window air conditioner to this product. He claimed that as the outside temperatures exist, a small A/C unit may not have enough BTU to to cool the air enough to compensate the hot air being sucked in. We feel that this is a comment on portable air conditioners in general, not one aimed at the faults of  the EdgeStar 8000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner. An 8000 BTU portable air conditioner may not be enough for a very large room, but this does not mean there is something inherently wrong with the product. Customers are advised to do their own research with regard to their room size and Portable AC’s BTU. In general, customers are satisfied with this product.
